My One and Only

Arim trudged home after work, inebriated and drained, when a handsome man appeared and introduced himself as a “Werewolf”. He asked Arim if he might stay in her house briefly. Due to this wolfman’s request, Arim and Ten began their lively cohabitation. The gorgeous werewolf, Ten, was attracted to Arim’s scent and chose her as his “mate”.

The manga follows Arim educating Ten about human culture and society. At first, she teaches him basic etiquette and language. Next, she shows him how to do chores like cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Though puzzled by many human customs, Ten proves an eager and charming student. Arim starts feeling warmth in her heart spending time with him.

However, their cozy dynamic is disrupted when Ten’s pack comes searching for their missing member. They are shocked to find him living with a human. The pack leader demands Ten leave at once, claiming humans are inferior and forbidding relationships with them. Ten refuses, declaring Arim is his mate. The leader challenges him to a duel for control of the pack.

Arim is torn between wanting Ten’s happiness and fearing his defeat. She suggests a compromise where they meet in secret but Ten returns temporarily to pacify his pack. Heartbroken, Ten rejects that option. He insists he will only be with Arim. The pack leader mocks Ten as bewitched by human sorcery.

When the duel begins, the pack leader uses underhanded tricks against Ten. Though Ten fights honorably, Arim can tell he is losing. She rushes into the middle of the fight, hugging Ten tightly. She begs the pack to not tear them apart. Her tears and passion move the pack. They realize Ten has found true love, and a human who would sacrifice for them cannot be inferior. The pack leader concedes defeat, and Ten remains with Arim.

In the end, Arim saved her one and only, and found love, by standing up to prejudice and fighting for what was right. The manga is a tale of how understanding and acceptance can overcome differences. With patience and kindness, two from distant worlds built a bridge between them. And on that bridge, they found each other.
