follows

the story of Sung Jin-Woo, the weakest hunter in the world. He barely earns a living fighting low-level dungeons that even normal hunters avoid. However, his life changes when he enters a hidden dungeon and faces death. In that moment, Jin-Woo acquires a mysterious quest log that allows him to gain power through leveling up by completing quests and killing monsters.

With his newfound ability, Jin-Woo’s strength grows exponentially, transitioning him from the world’s weakest E-Rank hunter to one of the most powerful S-Rank hunters. As his level increases at an astounding pace, Jin-Woo attracts the attention of individuals and organizations around the world. Some seek to recruit him, while others plot to eliminate him out of fear of unknown threats.

The Manga is set in a post-apocalyptic South Korea where portals, known as Gates, have connected the real world to a monster world. Following “the Gate” incident from 10 years ago, some humans have developed abilities allowing them to fight the monsters that emerge from the Gates. They are known as Hunters, tasked with defending citizens from the constant monster threats.

Jin-Woo’s rapid rise in power allows him to handle challenges far beyond the abilities of normal hunters. He is able to solo clear dungeons and defeat monsters that would require large teams of high-rank hunters to defeat. Some Hunters and citizens become envious of his speedy growth and begin to view him as a threat despite his work protecting people. However, Jin-Woo’s childhood friends remain by his side through every challenge, adventure and close call.

Transitioning from a weakling to an overpowered hero, Jin-Woo inspires normal people to become strong in their own right. Although primarily an action series, the Manga explores themes of hard work, determination and friendship. It subverts generic fantasy tropes through its post-apocalyptic modern-day setting. The memorable characters and fight scenes keep readers on the edge of their seats as they follow Jin-Woo’s journey to becoming the world’s strongest Hunter.
